Like I've said with the interior I like the standard layout for now. So simple mods are all that was really all I planned out. A UHF, AUX connector, some floor (accent) lighting, GPS, a gauge or 2 and a shift light. Currently I am planning to do some paint work, an FPV steering wheel, an arm rest in the back and a gauge cluster above the ICC but for now I have fabbed up a switch console
Which sends power to the footwell (accent) lighting, and UHF
and also the gauge and shift light.
To let the turbo wind down after a workout I also fitted up a turbo timer... Handy for when your on the go and need to let it cool down still. Just switch the car off and go do what you've gotta do - it will turn its self off, you just hit the lock button on the remote when you hear it shut down.
As for the GPS, the common comparison is whether to go all out an get a premium SatNav system or save a few bucks and go down the GPS route. I went with the later of the two. A simple TomTom1 GPS. I admit there are no Advanced lane guidance systems in this unit nor are there any real over and above the rest clever functions, just a straight forward GPS. Suction cup it to the window on a trip... Leave it at home the rest of the time. Also you may have noticed in the above dash pics that my dash mat is no longer fitted... The demister blows warm air around the velcro dots that adhere the mat to the dash and the adhesive has failed on them finally. The ICC gauge cluster may be just the thing to hold the mat on so when the cluster gets attacked in the future the mat may make its come back.
